Altarone

Alterone (アルタローン国,[2] Arutarōn Koku, "Country [of] Altarone", transliterated "Altalone" in Japanese publications[3][4]) is a kingdom located on the southern end of the Western Continent of Rune.

    Geography and Demographics

The following translation is excerpted from ASCII's Shining Force Strategy Guide.[1]

    Population: 5,000 people

Gross National Product: 27,000 gold coins

    GNP●金貨27000枚

    Racial Distribution (種族構成比)

Given that this country comprises mining from mines, there's lots of physically strong dwarfs. Also, there are considerably fewer centaurs. From this data we can see that Altalone's military preparedness is shorthanded.

No Miracle Cure for the Culture Corrupted by Money

A developing nation located in the mountainous region in the middle of the Western Continent. About 200 years ago, a town developed from mining minerals in the north and due to a sudden boom in the population, the local government was disrupted and was not able to form a stable city-state. After that, Guardiana dispatched a deputy official to mediate a ninety-nine-year lease on the land to manage the government. One hundred years ago independence was recognized, and today a deputy official from Guardiana sits on the throne in a modern constitutional monarchy.

    Country of Altarone (アルタローン国)

Country neighboring the country of Guardiana. Originally, this country began from mining towns established in the Beagle Massif located behind Altarone, where rare metals and magical metals were mined. Altarone prospers from selling the ores it mines for high prices. Because even the commoners are wealthy, they have a tendency to mock other countries. Of course even the royal family hoards luxury goods and art in the castle, and they have a small army that is extravagantly equipped, but poorly trained. Their history is short and the peoples' level of culture is a step behind. It's a kind of country of wealthy up-starts. Doesn't it feel like it somehow resembles modern Japan with its excess wealth, or is that my imagination?
