Masahiko Yoshimura
Masahiko Yoshimura (吉村政彦, Yoshimura Masahiko) is a musician who composed and arranged the soundtracks of Shining and the Darkness and Shining Force.

The following text is translated from the Shining Force Game Guide Book, which came bundled with a mini CD with nine arranged tracks.[1]

In order to express the world of Shining Force through sound, each piece was produced to have an especially original sound!
音によるシャイニング・フォースの世界を表現するために、それぞれの曲を特別に編集したオリジナルサウンドがこれだ!!
Before the making of Shining Force, the composer created an impression of the world through sound. The nine tracks included here created that impression. For this book's CD, which is a special supplement, the composer went through the trouble of rearranging the tracks since the Mega Drive's sound couldn't express the beauty of the finished work.
シャイニング・フォースを作るにあたって、 作曲家があらかじめ音によるこの世界のイメージを作る。ここで紹介する9曲のサウンドは、その時に作られたイメージサウンドなのだ。それを作曲家がわざわざこの本のCDのために再構成してくれたものがこの特別付録で、メガドライブのサウンドでは表現できない美しい仕上がりとなっている。

Born on April 26, 1967 (Shōwa 42). Graduated from the Shōbi-Gakuen Junior College School of Music Business. While in school, he studied under Komori Akihiro, known for Tottochan: Little Girl at the Window. After his experience as an audio mixer for Dreams Come True's Wonder 3 Tour, with his accumulated experience in music, he became the composer for the Shining series.
昭和42年4月26日生まれ。 尚美学園短期大学、 音楽ビジネス学科卒。在学中から「窓ぎわのトットちゃん」の小森昭宏氏に師事。ドリームズ・カム・トゥルーの「WONDER３ TOUR」にマニピュレーターとして参加など、数々の音歴を経てシャイニングシリーズの作曲に至る。
